General Questions

AYou can participate in B.E.S.T. College lessons from the comfort of your home or office. The lessons are being conducted online, in real time, using the video-conferencing capabilities of our state of the art proprietary platform. We would suggest using a quiet and well-lit room for the best experience.
APlease visit /registration. All fields are mandatory. When you click on the "Register" button, the system will send an account activation link to your email. Follow the link in the email to complete your registration.
AYou need to confirm your phone number in order to receive sms notifications for the starting times of your lessons and never miss a single one.
ACurrently the system performs best when accessed from a PC, notebook or tablet.
ALog into your account and you will see the Enter button on your Dashboard. When the teacher opens the room, the button will become active and you will be able to join the lesson. You will be taken through the system check before each lesson, so you are certain that everything is working properly.

Technical Questions

AThere is no need to install any software on your device. The platform is web based.
AProcessor – dual core 2.1 GHz, RAM 3GB, screen resolution – 1366 x 768px, operating system: Windows 7 or later, Linux, Mac OS.
AYour device has to have an external or inbuilt camera. You will also need a headset (inbuilt microphone and speakers will create audio feedback). You need an up-to-date version of one of the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox or Opera. Your upload internet speed has to be 2 Mbps or more.
AYou can check your system after logging into your account on the B.E.S.T. College website by clicking on the System Check button at the top right hand corner of your screen. All necessary elements will be checked step by step. Please do not change the browser or the tab during the system check. Should the system issue an alert about a problem, please refer to the help suggestions on your screen. If you are unable to resolve the issue, please contact our Helpdesk at (+353) 15 310 524. It is strongly recommended to go through the system check before your first lesson starts.
AIf you are using a WiFi connection, please sit as close to the router as possible. If you already are as close as possible, please quit all applications and programmes that might be using up your bandwidth for the duration of the lesson. If you have cable Internet access, contact your Internet provider and try to negotiate better conditions.
